Capture"The half-day jet boat ride from Clarkston to Dug Bar is a fine way to experience the Snake River Hells Canyon. Beautiful scenery, settlements, ranches, rock (basalt) formations, a forest station with an interesting small museum and orchard, and a historical overview by the captain make the trip worthwhile. A picnic lunch--fried chicken, baked beans, pasta salad, relishes, cookies, lemonade--under fruit trees at the Cache Creek forest station--is a plus. We enjoyed little ripe plums picked for us--a mid-September treat. Rapids are not scary/dangerous--Bill steered us through skilfully; we did not get soaked. Our only disappointment was that we caught only brief glimpses of two sets of deer--wildlife was in hiding. Warning: wear warm clothing/layers: the boat is open and goes fast; the wind is cold! Take sunglasses, sunscreen, and your camera."

8"We took the 5 hour excursion with our family and little ones. It was such a fun time and the little ones had a good time too. The staff were very friendly and it was all that I hoped. We'd definitely recommend it anyone."

7"If you are planning a trip into Hells Canyon then Snake Dancer is the one to choose. We had the best trip sight seeing and fishing. The captain knows the river and all the history, along with where the big fish are. Wonderful customer service and the time of our life."

1"We had a great time on the snake river. It was my first time ever on a trip like this and it couldn't have been any better. Bill our Captain had many stories he shared about points along the river. The snacks and lunch were great. I would go again in a heartbeat and request Bill."

6"I have wanted to take a boat trip on the Snake River through Hells Canyon for many years and finally did it! The boat picked me up from my hotel, the Quality Inn (see my rave review) right on time. The jet boat holds 20ish is covered (a few uncovered seats in the back) and was very stable. It was a 5 hour trip with a picnic lunch high up overlooking the river. Good food too! The rapids were exciting, and most of the trip was jetting along peacefully. The constant viewsare breath-taking and we saw some wildlife too. There are some tame deer where we stopped for lunch. All and all a chance of a lifetime experience."

3"What an exciting and beautiful day our group of 10 (adults and teenagers) had out on the water. The scenery was amazing, and the boat ride was a blast. I wish I could remember the name of our captain because he deserves recognition. He made our trip so interesting and so much fun!! Always stopping to show us things and give us information. Our trip was never rushed, so enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the Historical Site where we stopped to eat was beautiful!!! My husband and I have put this on our bucket list to come back and do the full day."

2"We went on a trip with our school and Snake Dancer was by far the best price and value! Had an amazing time and now I recommend them to everyone I know. Awesome tour guides, beautiful views, delicious lunch, and amazing customer service."

4"Took the half day tour. My husband andI enjoyed our day so much and we want to come back again. Gabe was agreat captain and host and he really knows how to ride the rapids. We will return to Snake Dancer for our next river trip.It was a great day...:-)"

9"No surprise that Snake Dancer is rated #1! The crew is knowledgeable, accommodating and made the trip super fun!! Go right- go with Snake Dancer!"

5"Our Snake Dancer jet boat trip was phenomenal! The scenery is awesome and unique to the area. Gabe our captain was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the geography, the history, and the Indians and settlers who lived in the area. He answered questions, looked for wildlife to point out, and stopped the boat, giving us plenty of time to gawk. Although the river has rapids in places, the boat offered a comfortable ride with side curtains when it rained. There are back "jump" seats for passengers who want to feel white-water spray. The food was delicious: muffins and juice for a snack; fried chicken, pasta salad, fresh veggies and chips for lunch. I recommend this trip for anyone who likes to get to know where the places they visit."
